SX Regulator rectifier installation
SX Regulator rectifier cable colors
- Red DC +
- Black DC -
- Yellow AC ~ (stator alternating current)
Attention - There are differences with the colors, selected by the motorcycle manufacturers.
HONDA
The manufacturer uses green cable instead of black for DC - (ground). Some models have a black thin cable, which does not connect to the SX R/R.
ΥΑΜΑΗΑ
The AC wires from the stator have white color instead of yellow. Some models have a brown thin cable, which does not connect to the SX R/R.
KAWASAKI
The DC + cable is white colored instead of red. Some models have a brown thin cable, which does not connect to the SX R/R.
SUZUKI
Older models instead of yellow AC stator cables, the manufacturer uses white colored cables with a red, blue and green stripe. Some models have an orange thin cable, which does not connect to the SX R/R.
BMW - APRILIA
The manufacturer uses brown wire instead of black in DC -. Also a thin cable green is not connected to rectifier SX.
The SX R/R is produced with a standard heatsink for better cooling. The installation point does not affect the functionality of the R/R. Only one screw can be used, or it an be installed at a different location on the motorcycle. The device does not need to have contact with mettalic parts of the motorcycle. The grounding is done through the black cable (DC -).
